Yvette Walker — Director

Yvette Walker is Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Administration at Gaylord College at the University of Oklahoma. She teaches the Introduction to Media class at Gaylord College and is a member of the Diversity Council at OU. She has been a newspaper editor, a news ombudsman and has supervised online content management systems for websites. Walker has a Master’s degree in media management from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She is a native of Chicago and has also lived and worked in Indiana, Texas, Michigan, Missouri and Oklahoma. She has two cats, Rudy and Jade, and a black dog named Lemon.
