Spill the coffee beans

We hate coffee.

On our journey to becoming coffee lovers, we decided to go to Starbucks. We asked the barista to make us a drink that coffee haters would like.

She gave us a brown sugar, oat milk iced blonde espresso.

Starting off with appearance, the drink was creamy brown ombre with ice. Visually, the drink was very pretty. It made us feel like cool coffee girls. However, it looked a little bland and basic.

We rated the appearance an 8 of 10.

Our drink smelled like cinnamon and almond milk, with a traditional coffee scent. For the record we both drank out of the same cup.

“I wish coffee tasted how it smelled.” Hannah said.

Hannah rated the smell a 10 of 10, while Becca rated it a 4 of 10.

“I don’t like the smell of coffee,” she said.

On our first try, we didn’t like the way it tasted, but we didn’t know you had to mix the drink up. Hannah claimed the drink tasted better before we mixed it. She said it tasted like a fall drink because of the cinnamon.

“It tastes like medicine,” Hannah said.

We both agreed that it tasted better before we mixed it.  Neither of us liked the watery taste. Apparently, this is caused by oat milk.

In the end, we still hate coffee.

We really do wish we liked it, but it’s just not for us. We both decided to rate the drink a 4 of 10. We didn’t finish it and gave it to our coffee loving friend Joslin.
