In today’s society, nearly everyone uses a form of social media, whether it’s for fun or for work. Bella Iovieno, a 17-year-old from Friendswood, Texas, has found her passion by being a social media spray-tan ambassador. She uses her Instagram to promote Flawless Glow, a spray tan company.

When Bella was younger she thought being a Realtor was her dream job. Later on, she figured out she enjoyed writing and wanted to “write for The New York Times or have a blog.” But now, Bella has a passion for something different.

When Bella was 16, her mom, Jennifer Linton, showed Bella’s Instagram to Beth Wilson, owner and creator of Flawless Glow. Bella spent time making sure her social media was professional and worked to keep her followers updated on her life. Beth was impressed with what she saw and asked Bella “to be an ambassador and represent her company.”

Bella gets a spray tan twice a month, and afterward she posts on Instagram about her tan to help promote the company. She enjoys using her creativity to come up with Instagram posts that catch her followers’ attention.  She also refers her friends and people at her school, Clear Springs High School, to Flawless Glow and helps Beth grow her business.

“It’s comforting the success I feel whenever I refer someone and they love their spray,” Bella said.

In the short time that Bella has been an ambassador, she has gotten Beth more than 100 new clients.

“From what I’ve learned and the exposure I’ve had from this experience I’ve really found what I wanted to do with my future,” Bella said.

After being an ambassador for a year, she’s discovered her love and passion for advertising and marketing.

“I don’t have a bunch of experience under my belt but having what I do, I’ve grown to love it,” she said.

She hopes to attend a four-year university and major in advertising. With hard work and dedication, Bella wants to work for a well-known company.

“I don’t want to wake up every morning and moan and groan about having to go to work…,” Bella said. “I want to be positive at work and want work to be a secure place and something I look forward to so I want to do my passion — and my passion is writing and I also enjoy social media.”
